Highrock Brookline announced today that Kat Hampson will become its new Lead Pastor following a vote at a members’ meeting on February 28, 2021.
Why did Jesus live? Often this question is answered with “to die,” but if all Jesus came to do was die, why live for 30 or so years? Jesus said that he came "to bring Good News to the poor, to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, and the oppressed set free" (Luke 4).
Sometimes these statements are interpreted in a spiritual sense - that Jesus came to release people from the internal bondage of sin and death. Sometimes they are interpreted physical/literal sense - that prisoners will be freed and the blind will regain eyesight. In this series we empahsis that both perspectives are true and important: YES, Jesus fed crowds real food when they were hungry...AND Jesus satisfied hungry souls yearning for salvation. It's not either or, it's BOTH. Join us as we examine the whole gospel of Jesus.
As long as Essex County COVID transmission levels remains above moderate, we require that everyone over 4 must wear a mask while inside the church building, even if vaccinated.
We welcome children up through preschool to join Kidsrock. Famlies can elect to escort kids to Kidsrock before the serice starts, or right before the sermon. As always, we strive to make Kidsrock a place where all kids can feel safe, be curious, and know they are loved by God. Come dance, sing, craft, and learn about God's faithfulness!
Please join us outside (weather permitting) after the service for SoulFood, a space to meet, connect, and engage with one another...all over a casual bite to eat, hot apple cider, coffee.
